Ecology of biological interactions workgroup at the Institute of Ecology and Earth Sciences, University of Tartu

The workgroup of Ecology of Biological Interactions seeks answers to a wide array of scientific questions. While at first the workgroup mainly focused on  plant-fungal interactions in the form of ectomycorrhizas, the group now deals with very large scale studies that encompass the biogeography of all  soil eukaryotes.

In addition, the workgroup is involved with research in the following areas: diversity and host specificity of  plant pathogens and endophytes; interactions between fungi and soil animals, such as Collembolas; the systematics of fungi.
